Which is correct in GMAT? What is the difference?

I guess if both X and Y belong to same category like both are nouns or verbs then you need to use with.
And if both of them belong to diff category then you have to use compared to.

Please read (and follow!) the forum guidelines when posting.

We no longer host a folder for general grammar questions; we couldn't answer everyone's questions because too many people had (great!) questions, so we had to stop answering these kinds of questions entirely. If you have a question about something printed in the strategy guide, or if you have a question about an MGMAT or GMATPrep problem, that question can be posted in the relevant folder on the forums.

Otherwise, if you are one of our students, please ask during office hours or before or after class.

p.s. Last one; I'm not going to answer more of these queries! Don't worry about this distinction for the GMAT. There is a real grammar rule but it has NEVER been tested in OG and multiple OG explanations actually BREAK the rule! So ignore it for the GMAT.
