http://www.manhattangmat.com website problems

by brij.jhu Sun Nov 29, 2009 8:05 pm

http://www.manhattangmat.com/ - I have had trouble with accessing the online tests and other material due to some website issues. It seems OK for a while and then every 15 minutes or so, it just becomes dead for about 5 minutes. This has been happening to me for the last 4 days. I confirmed this issue with few other people i know.
I tried to reach you by phone/email, but haven't got any response.
I m terribly disappointed with your online service and also by your lack of response or even acknowledgement. It has cost me enough time already, and given that my exam is in a week I dont want to waste more time on this.

Oh, the least I hope is that you at least wont deny that there is a problem.

I'm sorry that you're having trouble with the website. Unfortunately, I'm a teacher, not a tech support person, so I can't resolve your problems myself. (Also, FYI for future: we don't check these forums every day, so if you ever need help with something immediately, the best thing to do is to use the contact info below.)

Here's the contact info to get technical help:
800.576.GMAT
techsupport@manhattangmat.com
studentservices@manhattangmat.com

I do know that, at very busy times of the day, if too many students log on at once, it can sometimes cause delays if the server gets overwhelmed. I'll forward this to our tech department to make sure that they're aware of your problems - but you should contact them directly, too.

You said that you tried contacting us by phone / email. I noticed that you posted here on November 29th. I don't know whether you are in the US, but this past week was Thanksgiving and the office was closed from Nov 26th through Nov 29th, so that might be why you weren't able to get anybody via phone (if you called during that timeframe). What email address did you use? I believe the "techsupport" email address is monitored every day, even on week-ends and holidays, but I'm not sure about the other email.

Also, I assume that you have checked to make sure that you're not experiencing any problems with your internet connection?
