how to space my practice tests

by gagankhangura Fri Aug 05, 2011 9:57 am

First of all I would like to thank Manhattangmat for making GMAT look easy(especially sentence correction part)..:).
As already indicated in the subject of the topic, I would like to know how should I space my practice test provided I have my GMAT on 8th sept and I have already taken CAT 1(Q-51,V-36,710) and CAT 2(Q-50,V-40,730). I am still working on verbal as while analyzing the performance in both the tests, I felt there is a huge scope of improvement. Should I be continuely giving the practice tests on the weekends or should I wait till I am done with verbal?
Is giving a lot of practice tests just before the actual GMAT is ok?
I am targetting to cross 750 in the actual GMAT.

Wow, great scores! I am glad to hear that you have made so much progress and thank you for the kind words.

How much time each week do you have to study? If it's a lot (15 hours or so), go ahead and take a CAT each weekend. If it's more like 8 hours or less, then possibly do more content work for this week and start your CATs next weekend. Be sure to review each CAT deeply.

I'd recommend this schedule:

weekend of 8/7 optional CAT
8/14 CAT
8/21 GMAT prep test
8/28 GMAT prep test

Hope that helps! Good luck!
