How to prepare??

by JSP Mon Jun 27, 2011 5:38 pm

Hi,
I am about to start my GMAT preparation. I am using the following books
1. Princeton review
2. OG + verbal review
3. Manhattan GMAT verbal review

The princeton review book is divided into 7 classes - each class tackles handful of topics. So my plan includes reviewing topics that are listed for each class and then do questions from OG.
I am not sure how to include the verbal review & Manhattan verbal guide into my study plan??
Any suggestions on how to best utilize the resources I have at hand. And secondly how do i best utilize the Manhattan GMAT verbal books.

Thanks

I'm not 100% sure I understand which books you have of ours. You mention a "verbal review." We have three verbal Strategy Guides: one each for Sentence Correction, Critical Reasoning, and Reading Comp. Is that what you're referring to - you have those three books?

If so, you can see our full syllabus here; if you'd like, you can follow the verbal lessons:

Under the highlights section, click on "View a Sample of Our Course Syllabus (PDF)"

I can't advise you on how to use the Princeton Review materials because I have not used them myself. I think you should read this article; it talks about how to set up your study plan, so you can check to see whether you have all of the parts that you need:

I would also strongly recommend reading our free e-book The GMAT Uncovered Guide (if you have an account with us, the book is already in your account - just log in); pay particular attention to the scoring section.

Also, take a look at this very recent article on time management:
