How to improve Verbal Scores

by bharat.awasthi Thu Aug 12, 2010 11:10 am

Hi,

I have been preparing for GMAT for past 2 months now. I had my GMAT test on 20th August but because my Verbal Scores were not good (between 25 - 30) i have rescheduled the test for 17th September. I need guidance on how can i futher improve my accuracy in Verbal Section. The current accuracy level is stagnated at 65%.

I need advice on how should i prepare further. I am aiming a score around 750 in the actual test. In qaunt section am consistently scoring around 50.

Regards,
Bharat

Your accuracy level won't necessarily change much - the test is not scored based upon accuracy (primarily), and most people have a similar accuracy level (except at the very highest levels). The difference in scores is based on the level of questions you're able to answer correctly, not so much the number of questions you're able to answer correctly.

We need a lot more data from you in order to give you specific advice. Use the below article to analyze your most recent MGMAT test; then come back here and post your analysis here:

If you have not taken an MGMAT test recently or if you took the test under very non-official conditions (skipping the essays, taking more time than you should, etc), then you might consider taking another test this week-end (under 100% official conditions!) and then doing your analysis on that test.
