How to get the most out of Advanced GMAT Quant Book?

by Schawjibb Mon Apr 09, 2012 6:10 am

A few background info about me:
Test date: May 19th, 2012
Books completed: All the MGMAT strategy books, OG12e, VR2e, QR2e, GMAT Peper Tests (only the quant part)
Quant raw score range: 47-50

I am going to kick off reading the Advanced GMAT Quant book of MGMAT in a few days. I was wondering whether there are any guidelines, following which I might get the most out of the book? Or, should I read through the book just as I did in case of the other MGMAT quant strategy books?

Thanks in advance.
"Slow and steady wins the race." :-)

G-Day: ?? June 2012

Target Score: 720
Actual Score: ???
Score Deviation: ???

Performance chart:
31Mar2012 -> CAT#1 -> 610 (Q46, V29)
8May2012 -> CAT#2 -> 690 (Q48, V36)

That's a great question! We haven't had a lot of discussion about the book here, but I don't think that it's necessarily a bad strategy to go straight through the book. Keep in mind, though, that the book is HUGE and you don't have a ton of time before the test given the size of the book. You may want to skim the chapters and then choose a few for special attention. The book has been discussed more in the General forum; that might be a great place to post. Here's the link: general-gmat-strategy-questions-f9.html

Wishing you the best with your test!
