GMATPrep: how does it work?

by Guest Tue Sep 23, 2008 5:48 am

hello mgmat staff! :-)

i thought the exams were adaptive but how is it possible that someone who posted a question on the forum had same numbering to a question?
i.e., let's say my question #24 on CAT#2 also was this poster's #24 on his CAT#2. Was it just coincidence?

Thanks!

Hi there-

The MGMAT exams are definitely adaptive. So having the same #24 on CAT 2, while pretty unlikely, it just a very odd coincidence.

Good luck studying!

And the same is true for GMATPrep - from the subject heading of your post, it looks like you were actually asking about GMATPrep. There are only a couple of hundred questions in the GMATPrep databases, so with the thousands of people taking these tests, some of them are going to have the same question @ the same number that you did!
