(E) has tumbled, but not so dramatically as to give



What is tested: Tense & Idiom

1) We do not require has stumbled. because we do not have a clear indication of different time lines.

2) Now between A,B & C, C is wrong as it does not include but which is required as it shows some contrast

3) between A &b, A is wrong... to give is idiomatically better than for giving.

Also was wondering if my line of reasoning was right. Still would like to get an input why "Has is not requried"
