GMAT Prep Math Question

If m>0 and n>0, is (m+x)/(n+x) > m/n?

1) m<n
2) x>0

Answer: C

I'm having trouble manipulating the inequality in the question. Once you bring m/n to the left side, how do you get x(n-m)/n(n+x)? I saw that in a previous post.

i realize that this doesn't answer your question, but why do we need to simplify the equation - move stuff around?

for us to answer whether m+x/n+x to be > m/n two things need to be true

1) x ! = 0
2) we need to know the relationship between m and n
