GMAT practise test score is too less.

by ypriyankanirmala Thu Jul 01, 2010 8:18 pm

Hi All,
I took my 1st GMAT practise test last weekend and I got a very poor score of 520. Previously I have already given my GMAT once when I got a score of 590. Seeing my present practise test score I am scared. How far is this test scoring algorithm related to the exact GMAT test scoring ?
Practise Test Scoring:

TYPE SCORE ESTIMATED PERCENTILE RANK
Quantitative 41 64 %
Verbal 21 25 %
Total 520 44 %

I thought my second attempt towards GMAT will be better than my 1st exam score. But looking at this practise test scores, I am really tensed up..Please provide some feedback..

Why should this score be higher than the test you've already taken? You didn't tell us anything about what you did to prepare for this practice test, so i have no reason to believe this isn't an accurate reflection of where your skill level lies right now. At least this gives you some idea of how hard you're going to have to work to bring yourself back to your original level and continue to make improvements from there..
