GMAT mocks

by AbhijanG266 Wed Sep 23, 2015 1:20 am

Hello

I had bought 6 GMAT mock tests 3 months back. Gave GMAT last week and got 640 (Q 45 V 34).

I am planning to give GMAT again and will be in need of more mocks for the same. I saw the $49 mocks which gives me 6 mock tests. Needed a clarification on whether I will get 6 different mock tests or will they be the same ones that I bought the last time?

Regards

Don't buy them again! There is only the one database of questions that leads to sets of 6 tests.

You can start a new set of 6 tests (without paying anything more - I think you have access for 1 year from the time you bought them). You may see questions that you saw on the first set of 6 - but the test results can still be valid as long as you follow a few guidelines to minimize the chance of artificially inflating your score via question repeats.

First, anytime you see a problem that you remember (and this means: I know the answer or I'm pretty sure I remember the answer, not just "hmm, this looks vaguely familiar..."), immediately look at the timer and make yourself sit there for the full length of time for that question type. This way, you don't artificially give yourself more time than you should have. Second, think *completely honestly* about whether you think that you would get the question right if it were a totally new question. If so, get it right. If not, get it wrong on purpose. This way, you won't artificially inflate your score.

There are also two free GMATPrep tests (if you haven't already done them) and two more that you can buy (www.mba.com). You don't necessarily need that many practice tests - just in case you want to have some new ones.

Hi Instructors,

Apologies if I have posted this question in the incorrect folder, but I was unable to find any topic other than this to post my question.

I am planning to purchase the 6 MGMAT CAT tests. Before I purchase, I have a few questions.

1. Do the problems in 1 test repeat in the other 5 tests?
2. One of my friends purchased the package around an year back - have there been revisions to the tests? Like the real GMAT, do you retire/revise questions? If yes, may I know when was the last revision?

Thanks.

The 6 tests will not contain any repeated questions, no.

We continually revise the test questions - there isn't a specific "version" of the test or database that is live as of a certain date. It's just a huge database that is constantly revised: older questions getting fixed or tossed if we discover a problem, new questions getting added, etc. :)

When I am trying to purchase the mocks the payment is not going through. Is there some technical glitch at the moment?
