Just wanted to take some time and thank MGMAT.
A quick background - I took GMAT in August for the first time. Got 650 (Q47, V33, AWA 4.5), and was not that satisfied.
I decided to retake the test on December 1st with some preparation, which was effectively 8 weeks, because of travelling and other plans. As part of my prep, I signed up for the 6 MGMAT mock tests, the cost of which was surprisingly reasonable compared to the other mock test packages available elsewhere.
Personal overall impression of the mock tests - quant is difficult (almost made me cry a couple of times) and time management is crucial, verbal is more or less the same as the real test.
My MGMAT scores:
CAT#1 - 600 (Q39, V34)
CAT#2 - 590 (Q42, V31)
CAT#3 - 610 (Q44, V31)
CAT#4 - 630 (Q47, V30)
CAT#5 - 600 (Q41, V32)
CAT#6 - 640 (Q42, V36)
Average CAT score - 612
Overall, you can see that none of my scores were consistent, particularly due to the range of questions and difficulties that MGMAT had.
I did not take the OG tests this time, since I had exhausted the 2 complementary mock tests during the first time around.
Actual test day - I still had difficulties managing time for quant (I did the last 9 questions in 12 mins, pretty much guessing the last 5 or 6), but verbal was a breeze. But overall, with a 720 score (Q48, V40, AWA 5.0), I was more than pleased with the results.
There was almost a 110 points jump in the actual GMAT test when compared to the mock tests! I believe a huge portion of this success is down to the difficulties which MGMAT tests had, and the standards that they had set. A sincere thank you to the whole team.
