Hi, nice to meet you. I'm new on this forum.

Coming to your problem : 100 ppl. study only Spanish, and 240 study at least spanish,

hence 240-100=140 study spanish and french.

Does it make sense ?

See you.

Please see my response at general-math-question-question-from-horacio-q-t10365.html, because this is exactly the same type of question. Also, please post math questions in the appropriate place on this forum. In the case of OG questions, there is no appropriate place. OG is a banned source; it is illegal to post OG questions anywhere on the web. If you are in one of our classes, please ask OG questions during office hours or before/after class..

Hi Tim/All,

Apologies, didn't know this question I posted came directly from the OG. Would you happen to know which question# and edition this problem came from? Once done, I'll see how this is explained the book.

Thank you.

The text is deleted, so I can't tell you where it is in the book, but you can go onto amazon.com, look up OG12, and search in the book. (You're allowed to search and view the text of any page, but you can only conduct a couple of searches before you're "locked out.") If you don't find it in OG12, you can try the same searchi in the other official guide books (Quant Review 2nd Edition, OG11, etc)
