To the concerned expert?

A funny way to start a topic but please bear with me cause my need is dire.

I gave the Manhanttan free GMAT today and scored a 680 which is an ok score, but when i went through the detailed analysis I found that the no of questions i got right were alarmingly low (i.e. compared to other tests)

IS THIS A BUG IN THE SOFTWARE OR IS THIS BECAUSE THE QUESTIONS WERE TOUGHER AND HENCE I RECEIVED MORE MARKS, i got 23/27 in Quant and 24/24 out of 41 in verbal which i s low real low . Please advise at the earliest as my exam is within 8 days and i may want to postpone it ( i can only do so within 7 day i guess) please help

Hi - I'm not quite sure what the data is that you wanted to tell us.

You said you got 23/27 in quant, but quant is out of 37, not 27. Did you mean to say 23/37 (that is, that you got 23 right out of 37)? That's pretty normal; everybody gets a lot of questions wrong. This test is not scored based primarily on percentage correct, as tests were in school. Instead, the primary factor is the difficulty level of the questions answered (which is different for everyone). Most people get about 60% per section correct, regardless of score.

You said you got "24/24 out of 41" on verbal. I asume you mean you got 24 right out of 41? If so, again, that's pretty normal.

Expect to get a lot of questions wrong on this test, even at higher scores. It's not the case that you need to get 80% right to score in the 80th percentile, or 90% right to score in the 90th percentile.
