Foundations of GMAT Verbal: Do I need it?

by liucheng06 Mon Jul 11, 2011 2:06 am

I’ve just started taking MGMAT classes (finished class #2) after having taken the real GMAT in May 2011 and am shooting to break the 700s. Here’s a bit of background on me:
5/24/11 - MGMAT Verbal CAT1 37/83%
5/27/11 - REAL GMAT Verbal 30/55%-tile
7/04/11 - MGMAT Verbal CAT2 38/85%

I want to make sure I'm using my time effectively and am curious if i should use this the Foundations of Verbal (FOV) guide book. Since it's new, I'm assuming it hasn't been worked into the curriculum, similar to the Foundations of Math (FOM). I scored 100% on the FOM diagnostic and therefore am not going to touch that book. Is there a similar diagnostic for the FOV?

5/24/11 - MGMAT Math CAT1 41/64%; overall 650
5/29/11 - REAL GMAT Math 38/50%; overall 570
7/04/11 - MGMAT Math CAT2 44/73% overall 680

Hi,
We do not yet have a diagnostic for FOV, because we don't have any FOV workshops yet. FOV is a wonderful book and I think it can benefit students at all levels, but of course it is optional in your preparation.
