Does my age (39 Years) is the limitation for poor GMAT score

by Mohammedkhasim Fri Sep 17, 2010 8:20 am

Hai Director/Senior Instructors,

I have a fundamental question about my capability.

I have got a GMAT official score of 500 during second attempt. I got a score of 530 during my first attempt.

My quantitave score is : 82 percentile. My verbal score is 6 percentile.

I couldn't find the ways of improving verbal score.

I am of age 39 years with sixteen years of experience.

I am not able to figure out my weekness. I am really wondered, whether it is due to my age or due to lack of proper guidance.

Please advise.

And also let me know whether your verbal course makes the difference for me.

Look forward to your help.

It is generally true that the older we get, the lower we score on standardized tests. So, yes, if you could somehow go back and take this test 10 or 15 years ago, then you would probably find it somewhat easier to prepare. But we can't go back in time. :)

I can try to advise you about how to get better, but I need more data from you in order to do so. What have you studied and how have you studied? What have your practice test scores been? Did you take your practice tests under 100% official conditions, including the essays?

Use this article to analyze your strengths and weaknesses, then come back here and tell us what you discovered:

That data will help us to give you detailed advice.
