Does it difficult to get good scores from testing in Oct/Dec

by sotired Thu Oct 02, 2008 2:26 am

I have plan to appear for a test at the end of Oct and Dec. I have question to know more about the test on Dec. Suppose I get the same raw score on Dec, will I get the same total score as testing on Oct? Should I change my plan to test on Nov instead?

it seems as though you're asking whether the month in which you take the test will affect the way in which the test is scored. that shouldn't happen; the adaptive algorithm shouldn't vary from month to month.

your decision should be based on your own level of preparation, as well as on the deadline(s) for the business school(s) to which you want to apply.

did i understand your question correctly?

i doubt whether mean score will affect my score.
I guess that the mean score from testing on Dec should be higher than mean score on Oct.
Thanks for your help

While the raw score to scaled score conversion can change over time, that change is not set to calibrate over periods of weeks or months. The scores are valid and comparable to all scores given in the previous 5-year period. They don't recalibrate things monthly because then test comparisons across students (who take the test at very different times) wouldn't be as valid.
