Difficulty Level

Has any noticed that the Q's from the Manhattan GMAT are much tougher than the Q's from the official books?

Is it just me or does anyone feel the same...I noticed that with the offical Q's there's always one clear answer but with the Manhattan the Q's some times are tougher questions, and/or don't have such obvious answers.

I agree with you that MGMAT Quant questions are on the tougher side, if you compare if with OG. I believe the amount of practice and variery required to score high in quant would not be sufficient with the content of OG alone. You would be better off for the exam by doing the tougher questions than the easier ones.

Furthermore, i find the MGMAT VERBAL questions are more or less on the same difficulty level of OG questions

The More Challenging questions we face and practice, we will be better off scoring good in GMAT.

i have noticed that our upper-level quant questions sometimes require more work than do the upper-level official questions. i don't know if i'd say they're definitively 'harder', but they can certainly be more laborious.

in both quant and verbal, though, the correlation between students' performance on our questions and their performance on official questions is strikingly good, so any such differences don't undermine the predictive value of our tests.
