Day before test review

by williamscottgarrison Wed Apr 28, 2010 1:19 pm

What should I concentrate on this evening while reviewing? Should I focus on my strengths or weaknesses? I am planning on spending a maximum of 120 mins. tonight during my review. Thanks for any advice!

As you've probably realized now, we don't answer questions every day in every folder. This folder is addressed only twice a week.

In future (or for others reading this), if you post a last-minute question, you may or may not get a response that same day or the next day. If you are a student in one of our classes and have a last-minute question, please contact either your instructor or the office.

I will answer this for others who may read the post. The day before should be limited to 2 hours max, yes, and you should focus on high-level review. What are the main formulas, grammar rules, and other facts I need to know? What are my strategies for how to answer the different types of questions? What is my pacing strategy? What am I going to do if I find myself ahead or behind on the timing? How do I make educated guesses? How do I know when to make an educated guess? (This will vary depending upon question type, based upon your strengths and weaknesses.)

Also, make sure to have everything ready to go - ID, food and drink, money, car keys, whatever you need or want to bring with you the next day.
