Data Sufficiency

by deepabansal Mon Apr 28, 2014 9:33 pm

How do I represent the 2nd statement in the Data Sufficiency question below algebraically?

Question: A retailer sells only radios and clocks. If she currently has 44 total items in inventory, how many of them are radios.

Statement 1: The retailer has more than 28 radios in inventory.
Statement 2: The retailer has less than twice as many radios as clocks in inventory.

Hi,
According to me the equation for Statement 2 would be:

R<2C

Please correct me if I am wrong.

I think this Q will get pulled. Not in correct section and you have to reference the source.

Yep, jackson is right. This folder is only for general strategy questions, not content or specific test problems. Check out the content / problem folders and post in the relevant folder depending upon the source of the problem you want to post (and make sure to follow the rules about banned sources). There is a "general" folder for problems that aren't from the main sources, but there you have to cite the specific source and make sure you aren't posting from a banned source.

If you are a course student, you can also ask about other problems or issues before or after class or during section.
