One of the key words here is the "publicity". This means that people are made aware about the working conditions at the Zanco's foreign factories. While providing the evidence that people still buys products in case of other companies author is assuming that people is aware of the conditions of those companies.

You can work the other way also. Assume that this assumption is wrong then the conclusion is gone. For me, "A" is the conclusion (replace unlikely with something definite) and not the assumption.

What about if we assume 1 is true that people are not considering moral grounds does that mean that if people are not consdering moral grounds then the only way for Zanco to fail is if their products are defective does it seems an assumption too
