Confused with my Verbal Scores

by Paul Wed Aug 06, 2008 5:10 pm

I am a little puzzled by my verbal score.
I recently took two practice CATs: MGMAT CAT and PowerPrep.

On MGMAT CAT I got 14 Incorrect and got a score of 42.
On the PowerPrep I got 15 Incorrect and got a score of 28.

I understand the whole thing about getting the tough questions right and all
but it still seems odd to me why there is such a big difference between the Verbal Scores when
the number of questions missed is virtually the same.

Could someone from MGMAT staff explain.

thanks
