in good writing, that kind of construction will come after the main sentence, not before it.
before the main sentence, you'll see "like": Like my brother, I have xxxx.
if you put that construction after the main sentence, use "does" (I have xxxx, as does my brother / as my brother does). ("has" is not a helping verb here, so it doesn't work.)
