Hi,

Which are the most commonly tested topics in CR and Sentence correction?

Thanks!

in CR the main event is "strengthen"/"weaken"/"evaluate"/"explain", all of which are essentially the same (the only differences are superficial).

in SC, if you can spot and resolve these issues, you should be good to go for more than %90 of the problems:
• parallelism
• pronouns
• choice between different modifiers
• placement (when words are moved around ... what should be placed next to what else?)
• overall sentence structure (is it a sentence? vs. run-on/fragment/etc)
• S-V agreement
• verb tenses (BASICS ONLY)

notice that "meaning" is not an element of the list above, because meaning interacts fundamentally with EVERYTHING on the list.

well, ok, not overall sentence structure (= the only purely mechanical topic in the list)... but ALL of the other ones.
