Commonly tested area for verbal and quant - 16th Feb exam

by versatile801 Sat Feb 04, 2012 1:02 pm

Hi Stacey,

I have been following your posts on 14 days review and built up plan.

I have identified my weaknesses and strengths, the second piece of information i need is " Frequently tested concepts in SC/CR/RC and PS/DS"

It would be a great help if you could give your insight for the same.

My exam is on 16th Feb :)

thanks

I'm sorry I'm only just seeing your post now. Hopefully you did some searches around the forum and found other posts in which I provided this info.

Quant: NP and Algebra are quite common in general. Fraction and percent problems are pretty common, as are statistics (average, median) and general word problems. Geometry is not quite as common (though, within geo, triangles and circles are more common).

SC: modifiers and parallelism are VERY common. Subject-verb agreement, verb tense, and comaparisons are pretty common.

CR: find the assumption, strengthen, weaken, and infer (draw a conclusion) are the most common

RC: main idea, infer, and general specific detail
