OA: B

I stuck between B and E but chose E instead.
I crossed out ACD
A)the earthquake is irrelevant. The question is clearly talking about economics and bamboos.

C)cannot connect termites with high land values.
D) weaken the statement

We want answer choice that explains why bamboo would be less economical specifically in areas where land values are high.

Choice E says,

amysky_0205 Wrote:(E) Bamboo growing in an area where land values are increasing is often cleared to make way for construction.

This choice doesn't explain whether we are going to use bamboo after clearing the area or not. So, I believe it is out and answer is B.

P.S. - Please quote the source of the question otherwise MGMAT team will delete your question.
