Broken wrist - GMAT in 2 days

by kristina.koltunicki Sat Nov 14, 2009 10:56 pm

I broke my wrist today in two places. I do not have it in a cast yet so right now my right arm (my writing arm) is in a bulky splint from the ER. I am scheduled to take my GMAT on Monday at 11 AM. Am I beyond refund or rescheduling at this point? If I don't go to the test, do I have to wait 31 days before I am allowed to take it again?

What are my options?

Hi, I'm very sorry that I didn't get to this before your scheduled test - but I haven't heard of this situation before and don't know exactly what you should have done.

If anyone has something similar happen in future, I'd suggest:
- find an 800 number on the GMAC website and call it
- find an 800 number on the Pearson website (or the number for the specific Pearson site where you're taking the test) and call it
- stop by the Pearson location *before* your test (if possible) to ask them what to do

If you don't actually show up on test day and start the test, then I *believe* you can reschedule in less than 31 days, but I'm not sure - you'd have to ask Pearson / GMAC to make sure.

On another note - I hope your wrist heals quickly!
