Approach to MGMAT Materials

by byron.j.ransom Sun Mar 16, 2014 4:38 pm

Greetings -

I just received the MGMAT Self Study package, with the Roadmap, Foundations Books, 1-9 Focus books, the 13th Edition OG, and the two 2nd OG Verbal and Quant Review books.

I was disappointed that MGMAT provided this specific package, but gave no upfront guide on how all the materials should be organized and tackled, especially within different timeframes. I will be taking the GMAT in exactly three months and plan on devoting 12-15 hrs per week to studying, but assuming I want (and should?) get through all these MGMAT and OG materials, I have no idea how I should be dividing all these books and the assorted practice exams over these three months.

Could you offer some specific advice? I have my excel project plan all ready to be populated!

Best,
Byron

You should have a syllabus that gives you assignments, tells you the order in which to work through the books and chapters, etc.

If a hard copy is missing from your shipment, you can also find the syllabus online in your Student Center. When you log in, the home page lists links to a number of resources. The Reading List & Syllabus is the very top link in the very first column - upper left.

If you have any problems with this, please contact our student services team (800.576.GMAT or gmat@manhattanprep.com) and they'll be happy to help!
