Any new developments in the TEST over the past year?

by BP SUMANG785 Thu Jun 02, 2016 5:27 pm

Hi ! I last gave the GMAT 10 months ago.. Infact iv given it twice.. 1st attempt 700 Q47V40 .. 2nd attempt 650 Q50V25 ... Retained d score from the first attempt..

I want to give the GMAT again .. So I would like to know if there have been any new changes in the exam over the year..
Any new pattern of questions..? Any noticeable change in the difficulty levels?
Also any advice for a repeater?
I have kept in touch with the subjects so it wont be greek and Latin to me... But now i hav time on my hands and can concentrate solely on this...
Any advice from the experts ?

No major changes in the last year, no. You're still good to go with your old study materials, etc.

They have changed some policies: you only have to wait 16 days to re-take the test (used to be 31) and they've also updated their cancelation policies:

In general, I'd start by taking a practice test - cold. Day 1. :)

Use that to diagnose your current skill levels - strengths and weaknesses.

Then use that to help devise your study plan. You're not just going to re-do everything you did before; you're going to target the specific weaknesses that you think you are most likely to help you lift your score (aka your "low-hanging fruit").

I'd also review these concepts as you gear up again:
