2nd GMAT Official Score 560 target score 680+

by salesh.aswani Sun Jan 01, 2012 1:12 pm

Hi Stacey,

Been a while since I was on this forum. I gave Officail GMAT on 15th December 2011 the second time and scored 560 (Q. 42 and V. 24). The first time my Official GMAT score was 510 (Q. 35 and V. 25), gave this one on 4th May 2011.

I am now planning to give it for the third time or until I reach my target but need more practise material for Math. I plan to concentrate more on Verbal this time to get the score of above 36+ and in Math to increase my score upto 46/47.

Any suggestions about how should approach my study this time around and any additional material I should look at for my practice.

Thank you & Regards,
Salesh Aswani.

Nice job on improving your quant on that last test! (I know you want a higher score than that, but you're moving in the right direction - nice work!)

Can you remind me what you've been using so far?

Also, I won't necessarily agree that you need to move to all new material. There's a strong chance that you haven't yet learned everything you could have learned from your existing material - if that's the case, then the problem is inefficiency of study, and that problem will persist with new material. Better to make sure you're studying in the best way.

So, how are you studying? What does a typical study session look like? How do you review problems? How do you track your work?

What are your specific strengths and weaknesses? How is your timing?
