11th ed. v. 12th edition OG

by daniel.lha Sat Aug 22, 2009 1:54 pm

Hi, sorry if this question was posted some where else, but I couldn't find it myself. I am simply wondering if this is a significant difference between the 11th v. 12th editions of the Official Guide (and the Verbal 2nd edition as well). I have the 11th edition and 2nd editions, respectively, and am uncertain whether the 12th (or 2nd) will add much value to my study prep. Can anyone shed any insight into this who has gone through both editions already? Thanks so much!

Great question. There aren't that many differences between the two; you can see a write-up of the differences here:

http://www.manhattangmat.com/official-guide-12.cfm
http://www.manhattangmat.com/ogs2-verbal.cfm

There are only 300 new questions in OG12; the other 600 were already in OG11. And there are only about 75 new questions in the new verbal supplement compared to the old one. If you find that you need some new study material, then these are great questions to do, but you don't need to feel like you have to get these. Totally up to you. :)
