11 Days - Guidance Appreciated

by rajzillany Wed Dec 04, 2013 9:34 pm

I have been at this for 2 years on and off now.
I recently decided to leave my job to focus on this exam and apps full time, want to get everything in by round 2.
I have been scoring mid 600s and my last GMAT Prep CAT was a 640 (Q43v34). I am aiming for a 700+ as I see all candidates are.

I am working at this full time at the moment, dedicating at least 6 hours a day to the exam prep portion.

In these last few days, I plan on giving 3 more CATs and analyzing them (I use MGMAT forums to read explanations by Ron, Stacey, and other members).

I also want to go through as many OG13 questions as possible, but do not know the best strategy to approach this as I don't want to just go in order.

Is there a selection of questions per category/section that would be best to review and prepare with?
I purchased the OG Archer so I plan on using that as well.

Appreciate your input

I'm guessing its a really busy time between apps and exams, but 5 days left and I am still not getting past the barrier I need to.

A practice test and reviewing the test every day?
Or is it better to go over OG everyday and do a 100 qs?

Suggestions of any kind would be helpful as I feel like my time is scattered without the pinpoint focus I would need to do well on this exam.

Thanks.

oh no. When you replied to your own post, you put yourself later in the queue, so now I'm only getting to you now. :(

(It is the busiest time of year, and I was also traveling from 5 Dec to 15 Dec.)

I think that means you've already taken the test now. Let me know how it went.

I would have told you to use these two articles to guide your last couple of weeks:
http://www.manhattangmat.com/blog/index ... an-part-1/
http://www.manhattangmat.com/blog/index ... ew-part-2/

The goal is to do a comprehensive review but NOT to tire yourself out - so, no, not a test every day, and not 100 questions every day either. You can't possibly learn well from 100 questions in a day, so all you're doing is tiring your brain out without getting the benefit of full learning.

I'll leave it at that for now. I hope you got the score you wanted and we don't have anything else to talk about! But if you didn't, let me know and we'll figure out what to do.
